Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
This policy explains what Legal Crash Review (“we”, “us”) collects when you use legalcrashreview.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the forms on it.
Who we are
Legal Crash Review operates an advertising and lead referral website for people who were involved in a motor vehicle collision in California or Georgia. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice or legal services, and we are not a lawyer referral service. We connect submitted requests with participating law firms and attorney networks, who pay us for advertising services.
Contact for privacy matters: privacy@legalcrashreview.com. General contact: support@legalcrashreview.com.
Information we collect
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | First and last name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, IP address, device and browser identifiers | You, and automatically from your device |
| Incident information | State, date of the collision, your role, whether another party was responsible, whether a police report exists, optional free-text notes | You |
| Consent records | The exact consent wording shown to you, the time you submitted, the page URL, your user agent, and a TrustedForm certificate recording your form session | You, and automatically |
| Internet activity | Pages viewed, scroll depth, referring URL, campaign parameters such as utm_source and click identifiers | Automatically |
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, driver's licence number, financial account details, insurance policy numbers, medical records, or health information. Please do not enter any of these in the free-text box. If you send them anyway, we delete them when we identify them.
This site is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor submitted information, email privacy@legalcrashreview.com and we will delete it.
Why we use it
- To pass your request to one participating law firm or attorney network licensed in the state you selected, so they can contact you.
- To contact you about the request you submitted, by phone, text, or email, in line with the consent you gave.
- To keep proof of consent, as required under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and related rules.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or automated submissions.
- To measure how our advertising performs and to improve the site.
- To comply with legal obligations and to respond to lawful requests.
Who we share it with
- Participating attorneys. Your submission is provided to one firm licensed in your selected state, so that it can contact you. The current list is on the Participating Attorneys page. Once a firm receives your information, its own privacy practices apply to what it does with it.
- Service providers. Form processing, hosting, consent certification (ActiveProspect TrustedForm), email delivery, call routing, and analytics vendors, acting on our instructions.
- Advertising platforms. We use Meta and Google advertising tools to measure campaign performance. These tools may set cookies and receive event data about actions taken on this site.
- Legal and safety. Where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your information to unrelated third-party advertisers or to data brokers.
Sharing with law firms is how this service works
Under California law, providing your information to a participating law firm in exchange for advertising compensation may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out at any time using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. Opting out after you submit a request may mean we cannot complete the review you asked for.
Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for site function, advertising measurement, and fraud prevention, including the Meta Pixel and Google tags. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can limit ad personalisation in your Meta and Google account settings. Blocking cookies does not stop you from using the form.
Our site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals. We do honour the Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out of sale or sharing for California residents.
How long we keep it
We keep submission records and consent records for five years from the date of submission, which reflects the limitation periods that apply to telephone consumer protection claims. Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. We delete information sooner where you ask us to and we have no legal reason to keep it.
Security
Information is transmitted over TLS and stored with access controls at our service providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
Your rights
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, you can request to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients.
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Submit a request at Do Not Sell or Share or by emailing privacy@legalcrashreview.com. We verify requests by matching the phone number and email address in your original submission. An authorised agent may submit on your behalf with written permission. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by a further 45 days with notice.
Georgia and other states
Residents of Georgia and other states may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, depending on the law in their state. Send any such request to privacy@legalcrashreview.com and we will handle it under the applicable law.
Stopping calls, texts, and emails
Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts from that sender. Tell any caller to place you on their internal do-not-call list. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Email privacy@legalcrashreview.com to be added to our internal do-not-contact list. Requests are processed within ten business days. Firms that already received your request maintain their own lists, so you may need to tell them directly as well.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page for at least 30 days.
